An Introduction to our services
If you are over 60 and live on the Cross Gates side of York Road you can access our services. To see if we cover your area, take a look at our map.
Our service users are very active participants in our work. They contribute ideas, skills, time, goods and money, as well as constant encouragement and feedback. Our volunteer team, which includes our trustees, give a generous level of commitment and hands on service to the scheme, without which many of our activities could not run.
We work with older people to:
Birds of a Feather
For people living with dementia and their carers. Meeting up with others can offer reassurance, emotional and practical advice and support. We meet on the third Tuesday of the month and offer a range of interactive activities and entertainment.
Painting & Drawing
Our Painting and Drawing class meets every Friday afternoon at the Newman Centre a chance to relax and create a some wonderful work covering various themes that we display at our scheme for everyone to enjoy!
