About
Cross Gates & District Good Neighbours’ Scheme CIO was founded in 2002 and registered as a charity in 2007 to work with and for older people in the Cross Gates area. In 2014 we re-registered with the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). During the Covid pandemic, we delivered help and support wherever it was needed and we opened our Community Hub to serve all of the local community. To reflect this, we amended our Charitable Objectives in 2022. Our current Constitution (.pdf) is available to download.
What we do
Cross Gates and District Good Neighbours’ Scheme CIO works with and for older people to:
- Reduce loneliness and isolation
- Support independence
- Promote healthy lifestyles
- Try new things
