Walks of approximately three to four miles led by qualified leaders. Due to popularity we run two walking groups, the first leaves at 10.30am and the second at 11am. We normally meet at our main office at the Newman Centre but please check details. Book in advance.

Friendly weekly group for men to socialise together; play games; do a quiz with a cup of tea and biscuits.

For people living with dementia and their carers. We understand how overwhelming and uncertain it can be living with and caring for a loved one with a memory impairment. Meeting up with others can offer reassurance, emotional and practical advice and support. We meet on the third Tuesday of the month and offer a range of interactive activities, entertainment and carer support.

Our Food and a Film group is held on the fourth Tuesday of the month, a chance to enjoy a light lunch and film in company with a treat at the interval!  Please call the office to book a place.

Every Wednesday morning, join us for arts, crafts and table games. Includes all materials and refreshments (tea, coffee and biscuits).

We meet every Wednesday afternoon to provide a gentle exercise class, including chair-based exercise, suitable for those with Osteoporosis. Please contact the office for further details. We currently have two Flexicise classes running at different times.

On the first Wednesday of every month we welcome all carers to join us at this carers’ support group. A monthly group working in partnership with Carers Leeds, the group is welcoming and friendly, giving carers a break from caring and the opportunity to get advice, information and support tailored towards your caring role.

In partnership with Carers Leeds, our monthly Bereavement Support Drop-In meets at Cross Gates & Whinmoor Community Hub. Meet other bereaved people for peer group support and understanding. Fourth Wednesday of the month. The Hub is for all of the local community of any age – all welcome.

Our Painting and Drawing class meets every Friday afternoon at St Mary’s Community Centre. A chance to relax and create some wonderful artwork covering various themes which we display at our Scheme for everyone to enjoy!

Your opportunity to play all the games you’ve always wanted to – including Dominoes, Cards, Scrabble, Rummikub and lots more! You must be able to make your own way to the Scheme; the session will be volunteer led.
