What we do
Crossgates and District Good Neighbours’ Scheme CIO works to reduce social isolation, promote well-being and support independent living for older people within our area.
What we would like you to do
Initially, for a period of one-year, you will take the lead on existing and future projects to reduce social isolation and to develop and support our referral and befriending scheme. You will work closely with the project worker to deliver an inclusive service to reduce social isolation for older people, within the area of the scheme. You will develop our befriending scheme, co-ordinate and undertake home visit assessments to older people in the community. You will be responsive in supporting individuals in engaging with their local community and pursuing their personal goals, whilst respecting choices and preferences to encourage social inclusiveness and promote independence. The post is responsible to Cross Gates & District Good Neighbours CIO Board of Trustees and Manager.
- Salary: £25,801 (pro rata)
- Hours per week: 24 hrs per week
- Contract: Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months
- Annual Leave: 27 days plus 8 Bank Holidays (pro rata)
- Pension: Nest Pension Scheme 2.5%
- Mileage: 45p per mile
The Outreach Project Development Worker’s working hours will be spread over four days between Monday and Friday with a flexible approach. The post holder will work from our office base.
